I have big eyes and wide face. Most swimming goggles will allow water to enter until i tried Aqua Sphere Vista...can finally enjoy my weekly swimming now

I've been there twice recently. on weekdays.
first time was around 2100. i had the whole of the slowest lane to myself. that was nice.
the second time, i went around 2030. had to share the lane with about 2 others. people come and go.

sorry i cant compare with the other public pools. the last time i went swimming was more than 10 years ago...

Weekday 7-8pm: crowded, 2 lanes closed for aerobic class.
Weekend 6-8pm: can swim alone in lane.

Hi guys, there is an event on open water Swimming for kids age 5 to 16 year old. This event provide kids the first hand sea Swimming experience and understand about water safety and familarization. Some kids could swim very well in the pool but not when it come to sea swimming because it is a totally different experience. The event consists of 25m, 50m, 100m and 200m. The registration is open to public and you can sign up at Aqzog.com/event.Limited to 100 pax only. Goodies bag is included. Thank you.

Meant for kids at the moment. Is just to give them some outdoor adventure. Maybe in future we will organise for all age group. We did one for all age group last year at Serangoon Swimming Complex.

You should use lockers at Competition Pool changing room. This changing room is far bigger than the one at Training Pool. The changing room remains open even when competition pool is closed.

and then when you're done, get out of the pool dripping wet and cross over the entrance area to the competition side?

Yes, correct. The changing/bath room at competition pool is far bigger than the one at the training pool. Never once did I use the locker at the training bath room.

i think the training pool water is pretty cold. don't know about the competition pool.

location:
depends on where you're coming from.
but it has a whole family-friendly mall attached, so it's not THAT inconvenient.

most of what i like about it is related to how under-used it is:
- water is clear.
- toilets are clean. shower have hot water.
- lockers are free and number lock (dont need to bring key along)
- every lane has dividers. there's nobody to cut across your lane.

you might not appreciate it if you're looking for a pool to hang out at (family, hot date, etc).
but it's nice if you're there to really clock in the laps. the pool and the crowd there are friendly to competitive swimmers as well as much slower people.

oh yeah, some minus points:
no makan place selling fishballs and curry pok and coffee
no kids area ( i think there's one upstairs. must exit the ocbc pool.)
no jacuzzi
no slides

The water temperature at both pool is around 28°C and fluntrate depending on the weather. As both are indoor pool, most will feel cold if just soaking in water. Competition pool is all 3 metres deep, so non swimmers should avoid this. And you can't stand hand free in this pool too.

As for me, I stay in Pasir Ris and work at Chai Chee, make 3 trips a week to the pool, with each visit covering 60 laps (3km). I have a friend also in Pasir Ris swimming there too.

OCBC pool is my frist choice, as swimming 60 laps at Pasir Ris need constant looking out for oncoming swimmers and got to put up with much dirty water too.
