Anyone using AMGlow Contour 7? Looks even sleeker than Wells (and cheaper) and can install it by the sink.

Yeah anyone using this? Any reviews? Seems like a new product. Looks sleek and takes up very little countertop space, can install at the sink and much cheaper than wells too.

I’ve checked with the salesperson it is also possible to install without filters because the filters are installed outside of the tank, not inside. This is something I’ve been looking into because technically I only need the function of having cold and hot water instantly plus don’t need refill tank. I don’t need whatever filter attached.

Actually I don’t understand the need for filter for all the water dispenser on the market coz Singapore tap water is safe to drink and the filter just feels like a way to earn our money yearly. The cost doesn’t really justify it. It’s like $300++ yearly on average? If you watched the episode on CNA about water filter you’ll get what I mean.

The ability to install without filter will really make this water dispenser a one time cost. But I’m not too sure if I’m missing anything hmm. Because everyone seems okay to be paying for this water filter “subscription” yearly. And whenever I mention that I don’t want the filter people will be confused lol.

Hi, anyone tried the Bbyeol by Ruhens Lynx Tankless Water Purifier? Seems to be quite a new brand/product with not much info? Did a brief Google search and it appears that their Suntec city store opened not too long ago. Prices are more affordable compared to the Ruhens water dispensers. Thanks in advance!

This model shares the same chassis as Sterra 7 if not wrong. It looks sleek.

Read this a couple of times and decided on Living Care Onyx

Those using Onyx Can help with few queries?
1) Does your machine’s UWC indicator always on or on very often?
2) The Dispense indicator blinks in Green means what?
3) Does your machine feel hot most of the time on the top?

Any review on Ruhens Quint?
I switched from Ruhens V Series to Quint and I regretted doing so even though Quint is supposed to have more functions compared to V series.

Design wise, it looks chunkier than V series but thats not a major issue. The biggest problem is the amount of water wastage discharged from the outlet pipe. Most people would choose to connect it to the water pipes and would not see how much water had flowed out from the outlet. During the product introduc I was told there would be water discharged during self cleaning of the machine so I chose to have it exposed and left it in a container so that I could reuse the water. That’s how I found out how much water was actually wasted.

Each time you dispense hot water, water will be discharged through the outlet pipe before the hot water is dispensed from the the dispenser. I measured and the amount of water discharged was almost 50ml ( I have a video recording of it if you are interested to see). This happen every single time you dispense hot water, regardless if the amount of water dispensed is 120ml or 500ml. If you use hot water many times again like my family, the amount of water wasted is 50ml multiply by the number of times hot water is dispensed. When you dispense cold water/ambient water, water is also discharged from the outlet after dispensing is complete. When I checked with the salesperson, I was told it’s just the condensed water in the machine that’s being pushed out and it’s not much. It measured about 10-15ml. And I intentionally dispense water twice one after another, each time water was dispensed after dispensing was completed. Could there be so much condensation built up in the pipes within a span of few seconds? I wonder.

in addition, water will be flushed out from the outlet 4 times a day if self cleaning function is turned on. I have not measured the amount of water discharged during that process as I don’t know when it will happen. However, seeing how much water is wasted during daily use, I have decided to turn off that function and activate it manually once a week.

The machine also makes a whirring sound every now and then but I noticed that if you lock or deactivate the cold water function, the sound is not generated. So far, the only advantage I see that Quint has over the V series is the hot water is hotter and cold water is colder. That’s about it.

So if you are looking at Quint or other models or brands that have an outlet, do find out more about the amount of water discharged if it is a concern to you.
