anyone knows how much is it per day for a tour in taiwan for 9 days? i got quote 4500 per day
Hi all,
Want to recommend my taiwan driver for you. Actually you can not just look at the price. It depend on the distance you go and what type of car. 7 seated and 9 seated can't be same price. This driver have their company, so even only 2,3 person and they can give u 5 seated car which is far more affordable. Impt is their service is very good, the car is quite new and clean.

Can anyone advise when u book the driver, do u need to pay for driver's accommodation & food?

Accomodation normally they include in their price quoted to u, for makan it depends. Some drivers follow,some will not..

I just came back from my Taiwan trip. As I was travelling with my parents and two young children, I decided to engage a taiwan driver to bring us around.
My driver is called Ah Hui. He can also be called Jackie. He drives a Ford Tourneo. The car is a new 8 seater and really spacious.
Ah Hui was very punctual in picking us up throughout our trip. He was lively and energetic and that kept our trip in the car not so uneasy.
As I was traveling with my parents, we tend to take more time at each destination with toilet breaks and short rests. However Ah Hui was very patient with us. He never complained and still greeted us with his smile every time he picked us up from the stops. He even bought fruits for us during our trip and asked us to eat in his car.
A more impressive act would be we left some of our luggages in Beitou during one of the day trip to Yeliu, Jiufen and Pingxi. After he settled my parents and children at Ximending, he drove us all the way back to Beitou and back to Ximending without any complaints and extra charges!
He can be contacted via WhatsApp and he's very prompt in replying messages.

I just returned from my 9D8N Taiwan Trip, of which I've engaged the driver from 5D4N for my travels with my family (6pax) to Taichung, Cingjing and Hualien.
As a summary, the main things differentiate him from the other drivers that I've engaged previously is his positive attitude, good customer service and cheerful personality. The summary of things that really impressed me:
1. I've contacted him in early January to enquire more about my travel itinerary as I wasn't very familiar with Taichung and Hualien. He patiently explained and assisted on planning the itinerary. He also reply very promptly to all my messages and calls.
2. One thing i really liked was that he did not hard sell his services. Instead he was informative and very helpful.
3. His spacious 9 seater car along with steady driving skills really help as half of the group had motion sickness. Oh did I mentioned you could also sing Karaoke in his car?! (As a note, his car is also wheelchair friendly)
4. He doubles as a guide + photographer to explain on the history and interesting facts about the place we visit and also actively helping us to snap group photographs.
5. During one of the days when we naively went up to Hehuanshan with just jackets and long pants, he gave up his thick jackets to us, so that we could keep ourselves warm while he only wore a thin sweater.
6. As we wanted to cover a lot of things within a day we often overrun the time. But he never complain nor charge the additional hour.
7. He often shared with us Taiwan's local delights and fruits.
8. All the rides with him were filled with jokes and laughter.
All in all, my family was very very pleased with his service and definitely intend to engage him as a driver if we do travel to Taiwan again!

A few people recommended Ah Hui here but no one listed his price, how do we know if it is reasonable and not fake?

I found a driver for Kaohsiung and kenting and he asked me to transfer him the full sum via PayPal, and I gave excuses because I was worried that he doesn't turn up after I paid. As the result, he agreed to only pay him when I arrived.
I would like to seek you advice, do you pay the driver the entire sum at the first day or how would you divide the payment?
