Talking to Trees

I dont see any evolutionary need to talk to trees in all of human history

i guess its abit like Avatar...
I mean why do you think the movie resonates so strongly (subconsciously) with people
shared environment...you know

Funny. Why do some here like to talk to themselves, talk to trees, talk to the wall....

....when you can talk to a God, who actually understands you and can respond?

I believe plants and trees have consciousness but they probably perceive time somewhat differently due to the biological differences between them and animals. They are also more connected to one another (shared consciousness) than animals are between individual units.

if trees have consciousness, then every branch is their own agender kid....

Eh I know what you mean ts, in Kyoto I was able to stand still for a while and just take in the serenity, the present moment of everything on the peak of the hill in the forest.

It feels whole.

But of course, I don't really actually converse with a tree....

Yes. Its like.. everything feels correct. Unfamiliar, scary even (since as city dwellers we are not used to it) but instinctively- its 'correct'.

Then if one stays very quiet and still..its like bobbing along on an ocean. Then there's this rustling of feeling like... Hmm. Can talk, yes. Hard to describe. Its not explicit like 'being too hot' or 'feeling too cold' but its equally intense...
