I never liked to play Speed settings because i also cannot catch up with the fast cars.
I prefer Technical settings. Use Atomic Tune. Very good. ;)

So I can buy a PRO model but put the Fully Cowled car covers on the PRO chassis also right?

haven't tried a PRO chassis yet. as long as it fits i guess? i don't think tamiya intended the covers to fit all chassis (obviously not with FM chassis / cover)

People in the states are playing this speed rules.

the idea is this... typical tamiya rules allow for classes or divisions to be determined by how many modifications you have.

i have seen time and again where this is anything close to being called 'fair'.

even a standard box stock car could have been slipped some high quality grease or the motor some oil drops or even a counterfeit stock motor.

there's really no way to police the modifications no matter how official the officials appear to be doing their jobs.

this is why we want to implement the Speed Checker qualification for determining which class or division a car is designated.

this way, a car that checks its speed at 20 KMpH wiil race against another car that checks in at 20 KMpH no matter what modifications are on
the car.

Yes, the Speed Checker is not going to consider the quality of rollers and dampers and such, however, this way is WAY more 'fair' than any
other that has been used.

Feel free to ask questions or post intelligent arguments for or against this rule.
