oic. just started Taobao buying in Dec haven't try direct shipping yet but heard IF everything goes smoothly, it will reach within 10days

For direct shipping, this is the flow.
1. Time for seller to ship
2. Shipping time to Shenzhen warehouse.
3. Storage time in warehouse/consolidation time
4. Out of warehouse for international shipping
5. Reach SG and delivery.


The limiting factor for direct shipping is almost always the warehouse storage time. If seller is located in some ulu place like Inner Mongolia then the time to reach warehouse is also quite long. LiJiang is 4-5 days. Beijing around 3 days. Shanghai around the same. Sellers usually send by "Kuai Di" which is just expedited local post.

You have 10 days before the money moves out of Taobao escrow into the sellers account. If item is not received within the automatic 10 day countdown timer, you must extend the timer, or speak to the seller via aliwangwang or qintao chat. They will always extend the timer for you, because if they don't, you can choose the "return goods" option which is troublesome. Note that if you choose to return goods, you pay for the return shipping.

Shortest time I got my stuff was around 9 days. Longest was 21 days. Direct shipping is actually pretty risk free if you know how to handle it. Basically you just need to make sure taobao alipay transfers the money to the seller only after you get your stuff.

Also, you may get problems with consolidated global direct shipping if the items have 1 dimensions more than 80cm or all 3 box dimensions over 120cm. Officially, DPEx doesn't take larger packages. That said I did have an instance where my parcel exceeded the dimensions but they still shipped. Depends on luck.

Just collected my parcel from 65daigou... today look crowded... about 10 people collecting :s12: :D but didnt see the mask gal =:p

the delivery van look packed with lots of cartons... Hope those people collecting their parcels know to bring helpers or trolleys lol =:p

surprised from seller... order one round pill case... seller give out one more round pill case for free and one unknown gift lol (dont know what that for lol)... =:p

I should kept both and not make fuss about it lol =:p

first time item item arrived incorrectly :s22: standards and quality sure drop :(

I started to use forwarder directly, quite fast :s12::s12:
and so much cheaper cos it goes by actual weight not vol weight.. so can save alot leh :D:D:D
