The new terms and conditions:
For TCL television sets purchased through FairPrice Xtra and Giant Hypermarket in Singapore, before 30 November 2022 and 06 January 2023 respectively.

I'm not really sure the explanation above; maybe my English is F9
So my faulty TV bought in April 2021 at Giant is eligible or not ?

3 years warranty are for TCL television sets purchased through FairPrice Xtra after 30 November 2022 and from Giant Hypermarket after 06 January 2023.

Therefore according to their warranty terms your TV bought from Giant hypermarket in 2021 does not have 3 years warranty from TCL Singapore.

On their old warranty terms they also stated 3 years full warranty only for valid products without elaborating further. The updated terms just clarify what are the valid products that have 3 years warranty.

You should contact Alphavision for warranty claim on TCL TV sets purchased from NTUC Xtra and Giant Hypermarket before those dates not TCL Singapore.

Oh man, haven't been checking this thread for updates but haven't got my C835 delivered yet since Nov 2022 from Smart Tech. And since I've alr paid, I can't do any refunds or anything. :'( Hopefully we receive a good set.

Huh? Bought in Nov 22 haven't deliver? Why didn't you raise a refund earlier?

I remember some people here actually bought extended warranty from Alphavision. Are they telling me it’s all null and void?

Seems like she received her TV alr and enjoying it. Hahaha.

11.11 deal last year and to avoid paying higher GST, I think price still the same now cos C845 not out yet.

Nono, it's not delivered yet because my house not ready. So will contact them when ready to deliver. Then warranty starts from day of delivery rather than date of purchase. Bought from TCL directly at their roadshow/smart tech so hopefully have the 3 years warranty. A bit sneaky about the change in T&C from TVs bought at Giant/etc.

Imo avoiding gst is not worth it if the gap is this long. Likely could have gotten this year updated model for roughly around same price too.

Can Tcl tv be connected to Internet by both wifi and Ethernet connections? My new TCL tv can only connect by either wifi or ethernet. Can iQiYi app can only be operated by wifi only not ethernet, it’s so strange to me 😅

What’s the problem? If it’s flickering there’s a diy way to resolve.

Tv got sound. Screen has just many coloured lines
If you willing to diy, can do a simple test. Open up and detached the cable from board. Got 2 cable, try detach one at a time and see if the screen works. Also, careful when you open up the cover as there’s a small cable attached to it, so don’t just ripped it open. Best to do it with at least 2 person.

For my case, I detached the left cable and it showed half the screen working fine so I know that the issue is on the right cable. Then I slowly add a small tape on the right cable pin to resolved it.

Can watch YT for instructions. Something like this, plenty more of videos on YT if you’re unclear

OMG. Thanks, bro. Exactly the same model and same screen issue in the video. But I’m not confident handling this. If you don’t mind helping, will work on this with you together and gladly pay you a fee. PM me if keen? Thanks.🙏

Like help thru message sure but not keen in person haha. Can go through multiple YT videos, some will show different angle so you better understand how to disassemble and diagnose.

But it’s really easy imo. Just a few screws and simple unplugging cable. Just be careful not to ripped cable apart haha. Have a big table so easier to disassemble due to height, I did on the floor with 2 person and it was uncomfortable haha.

Hard part imo is the scotch tape if you don’t have amp/volt meter to check which pin is faulty. The tape is also hard cause it’s super small and I had to guess and check which pin is affected as I don’t have the amp/volt meter. I simply guess with a big tape(cover like 10 pin) and slowly cut to a smaller tape(cover like 5 pin) to narrow the pin. In the end I didn’t even bother to narrow down to which individual pin was actually faulty as it work by covering 5 pins.
