well.. they are not very tech savvy. cannot blame them

True not only avertek but there are other "outsource" service centre that are CMI.
It's always best to know your stuff and what you want.
Never expect tech staff to be that capable or knowledgable like you.

TS uses strong language to criticise casing distro without justification. Blame casing distro for PSU related questions without even approaching PSU distro first(tell me, how can the question on whether 2 molex pins from PSU supply sufficient power be a casing problem). If had approached Corbell right from the start won’t have such problems in the first place.

Everyone here tells him he’s the problem, he refuses to accept it. I think no need to discuss further liao

me: How much watt it require to power the 2 molex on the hotswap bay & if I could use a single psu cable.
avertek: you need to ask Corbell if a single psu cable can supply the power.
me:

First part, how much wattage. I believe they give you a higher wattage for future-proof and if there is any issue, they can eliminate the question of "is there enough juice" and exclude that it is a PSU not enough power issue. Of cos, the "1200w" might be a little too much.

Second part, if you could use a single psu cable. I believe the tech support is right to ask you to refer to your PSU distributor for an answer.

Roger that. Thanks from being civil.
I have initially no huge issue on that, just for mention only, however tech response in a manner regarding the hot-swapped was distasteful hence I post it in a harsh manner.
For all those keyboards warriors that criticize me, including me not justifying it need to check it’s eyes.

You need to justify your atrocious grammar first. Next, you banged out a post criticising a distro without doing your own homework and without doing your due diligence- isn’t that the very definition of what a keyboard warrior is?

To be FAIR. When the hot swap cannot be detected, there are many possibilities. Bios, drivers, OS, installation etc. So the tech might be just suggesting other ways.

Unless the tech was rude to you then you should bring this up to the distro themselves.

He can’t even figure out the issue with his PC, blames wrong distro, uses insulting and defamatory language towards the distro, I wonder, how is that even “educated” or “civil” in the first place.

Yes he mention other possibilities, namely blaming my OS & HDD not set up properly, even after I explain previously was fine until I change the casing.
Of course I was not savvy enough regarding hot-swapping myself.
The tone he responded in, I felt like talking to a brick wall. On the other hand the guy from Corbell talked in a sensible manner.
I just let the matter rest instead of pursuing it.
But today , I just found out the bios setting for the hot-swapped was disabled hence I posted it.

Like some who blindly blame and insult the distro despite lacking technical knowledge of any kind?
Lacking yes, but both my eyes are open to see the tech way of response. Hence my response.

Its not about the PSU LOL!! The hot-swapped not working so I ASKED avertek

On the wattage hot-swapped bay issue, I don't see what wrong with speaking with avertek & corbell.

If hot swappable bay is the issue, why are you blaming the technician for nt directing you to look into motherboard issue? Its like saying all car technicians need to know how engines work om planes just coz both car and plane use an engine?

I feel you are just looking for a 1 solution fit all answer and expecting it from avertek.

Frankly speaking, communication is a mirror by itself. you may find that you are talking to a brick wall when he responded to your query, have you ever consider that the attitude and tone you are giving him makes him feel the same way that why he give u that kind of attitude?
Sometime when we are pissed, we forgot to see how we react and may sound impatient to the opposite party. You just never realized that.
