Tested singtel 5G got 900mbps. But with more users numbers will be lower.

IMO don’t see the point of gigabit speed with data cap. Unlimited plan will be nice.

with no unlimited plan, it is like driving a ferrari in lion city. :D

imagine if u have 5G network that can hit 1Gbps of speed but only with 5GB of data.
technically you can finish the quota in less than 1 minute.

for NSA 5G we are far behind, but if SA 5G Singapore telco can launch in early 2021.

Then i think we are close enough hahaha :s13::s13:

no choice...since our telecom uptake on 5G like recently...even though there is planning but i think they also need IMDA for approval? since IMDA is the one that controls those telecommunication, electronic device and a few other technology.

yeah the spectrum and approval was only granted in end of June for 5G in Singapore.

Singapore unveils winning 5G licensees, TPG loses out on nationwide bid
Singtel and joint bidders StarHub Mobile and M1 have secured licences to deploy nationwide 5G networks, while TPG Telecom has failed in its bid to do so and, instead, will have to access these network services through a wholesale arrangement.

maybe the way they do the testing was questionable.

Yah. But mobile signal depends your area is by a real cell tower or relay cell tower. relay cell tower has slower data speed (like wifi on repeater)

For my case Starhub at my block i'm getting around 8 to 20 mbps.

1 bus away i can hit 150mbps on speedtest.

lol

1st 5g out is starhub but weak speed
2nd 5g out is singtel but speed and signal better than starhub in many ways
3rd 5g out is m1 and is the 1st to roll out 5g plans (same as what it did for 4G)

I am wish this round the 5g using the exisiting 4g band will not be like previous when the 3g and 4g speed was greatly affected.

i wish can go travel to test out other country 5g speed and system :)
