I know the Japanese and Taiwanese must be confused. But here in Singapore, our traffic light crossing is marked with white lines, not zebra, unlike Japan.

Once I was about to cross the zebra crossing with my friend.
Saw a white car speeding very fast.
Of course we stop n make sure he slow down.
Then saw his hand gesture us quickly walk.
I gestured back pointing at the road, zebra crossing .
After walk pass , he show me middle finger.
Better don't kick vehicles. You could get yourself hurt and encourage the driver to use physical violence on you.
It is better to let the drivers have their way. You are in a vulnerable position. If you attempt to uphold traffic rules, you are in a sure lose outcome.
It is better lose a few seconds than to lose your limbs or life.
Maybe you can write in members of parliament to pass rules to mandate the installation of enforcement cameras for all pedestrians crossing.
After all, road intersections already already installed with camera to catch vehicles that run red lights.
Ever since, discretionary right turn arrows are introduced. The fatalities between pedestrians and vehicles decreased a lot. I must commend the work of members of parliament to introduce new laws.
