Actually they are trying, but has been limited by batteries supplies and technology. Tesla made a smart move to work with all 3 biggest battery maker and also create their own supplies in the gigafactory. In fact their effiency is one of the most advantages. Same battery pack, but 15% milage, or same milage, 15% smaller battery, this create huge cost benefit. Until another manufacturer manage to catch up on their effiency, is still hard to replicate Tesla. Not to mention they spend like the last 10 years to build up superchargers in the US. Imagine driving a EV, and you can't find a place to charge up in the middle of your journey.

Tesla batteries do not get more mileage, they only appear to get more mileage because Tesla allows the owner to fully charge the battery while most other EV automakers caps the charge at 80% capacity, if you don't already know charging a battery up to 100% degrades it quickly and reduces its lifespan.

Level 3 charging isn't a proprietary technology, TEPCO has more level 3 charging stations worldwide, many more companies will soon get into the game if and when the number of EVs on the road increase.

I applaud Elon Musk's vision but that doesn't make Tesla a great investment, the company is never going to be profitable enough to justify such a lofty valuation. There is a lot of froth in the stock market right now and everyone is certain that they will not be the last one holding the hot potato, alas such hubris can only end badly.

Based on Tesla's latest earnings report, Tesla's best selling item is not the Model 3 or the Model Y. Instead it is the regulatory credits. Tesla is getting a good price for these now as EVs are not mainstream. The major car companies are therefore buying these credits so that they can focus on building conventional models which are their bread and butter.

In order for Tesla to grow and be profitable, EVs have to become mainstream. If this happens, the major car companies will move into the market. Tesla will face not only increased competition but a collapse in the market for regulatory credits as the car majors generate credits from their own EVs.

On the other hand, if EVs do not become mainstream, Tesla will not grow significantly beyond where it is now. If it gets stuck at where it is now, it will not meet those projections and targets. It is hard to see how it can keep its current share price when that happens.

Tesla stock holders are therefore in a lose-lose situation.

IV affects the price of an option, especially ones that are OTM or expiring soon. The fact that he doesnt know what "IV crush" is goes to show that he wasn't aware that he was betting on a bigger ER move than what had already been priced into the option.

All these are noise rah, only thing that matter is what u think the price might be when ur option expire and then bet accordingly
