For Tesla, no need to think too much. If price comes down to $5xx, just buy it. At that price, it will not be far away from its intrinsic value. Then just hold.....

hmm is it possible and what would happen if China shut tesla cars down due to "national security concerns"?

I mean Huawei was sanctioned due to that :s

it's a convenient leverage/excuse for China to pull at anytime they wanted and let their own EV industries grow

no way tesla will be no 1 in China for long, it will be like Apple

That's why alot of people buy NIO and TSLA together. They are not exactly mutually competing, or exclusive. They correlate most of the time now, but at some point in the future can become each other's hedges.

tsla to be a $10trillion market cap?

Posted from PCWX using my high crass Redmi K20 Pro

If you add cars (energy expenditure), solar power (energy generation) and batteries (energy storage) all together, all under 1 big roof, if they succeed, they MUST end up a much bigger company than AAPL. It will become a mega conglomerate sitting on one of the most fundamental needs of the modern society.

Won't disagree that it's a big IF, but it's a highly possible IF too.
Once they nail down energy generation and storage well, they will be able to expand energy expenditure in directions we might not even think about at this point in time.
I would wager that cars is just a way to show a possibility. Quite a bit like a MVP (most viable product) to demonstrate the Generation -> Storage -> Expenditure dogma/pipeline.

That being said, there is definitely going to be alot of wild swings moving forward. Maybe retrace back to pre-split price, before going upwards. Also have to see wider markets, just keep in mind COVID drop was a whooping -63%. A 63% fall from 900 will bring us around to 325 range.

The way upwards is never a straight line.
