How do you know tomorrow might be another ATH? You got crystal ball?

Ya precisely that’s why I used “might”. It is ATH now and this is undisputable. We only know what’s the past and don’t know the future. Once tomorrow comes and IF there is a new high, what you posted will no longer be ATH.

So you can’t say you are buying at ATH, cause maybe after you buy, theres another ATH

But what if it tanks to $800 tomorrow?

But what if it tanks to $800 tomorrow?

We are talking about the same thing but just using diff example no?

We both don’t know what the share price will be the next moment.

I’m giving the example that if you buy as soon as market opens, u maybe buying at ATH, but the very next moment; the price goes up, so the price you bought at is no longer the ATH.

That’s what I’m trying to drive at.

The moral of the story is, we wouldn’t know whether one is buying at the ATH until one bought it. So your premise of “if you DCA a stock into ATH, wouldn't you be losing money if the price crashes and never go back up to the ATHs?” Is not a complete picture cause you didn’t factor in the scenario of “what If the price goes up rather than crashes”

Then why is it a good strategy to DCA going into all time high? Unless you tell me the stock price will not pull back from ATH....

How is it a good strategy to DCA into a counter that is trending down all the time? You do so thinking that it will go up right? Same theory

Better to buy after split?

Depends on what’s better? Do you prefer buying 5 shares but might cost more than 1 share now or do you prefer buying 1 share now that might be cheaper than buy 5 shares when it splits

Or it could go up even more after Battery Day.
