Technically, split or not makes no difference in terms of value at time of split but after that will make a huge difference in terms of new small investor's buying power or budget to own the number of shares, esp. if the split is 5-for-1 or for long time investors pohing the price to rise once it drops to below $200 (sure skyrocket huanz)
