Sidetrack a bit, since we will be getting allowances and we are not considered employment, is it taxable? Sounds like we no need to declare any income for the next two years if selected into the program.

I checked with IBF. Their replied:
The training allowance is not subject to CPF contribution, but may be taxed.

I don't have CC hands on experience. Got offer for CC so not an issue. However, I do have other IT technical background.

Hi there Appleee, I did went through 1 round of phone interview with DBS on last Fri but is on Cloud track. The lady interviewer apologised for the lateness in contacting the candidates as there are simply overwhelming volume of candidates applying this programme. She also told me that they will update me again either this week or next week. Hope this info still helps u in 1 way or another. All the best to you in your final round of interview with them.

How did Phillips extend their invitation to u? They email u to schedule an appt with u?

As for me, I had phone interviews with Citi & DBS. Nobody email me anything. Both of them called me directly to initiate a phone interview on the spot during my working hours. I'm still thankful nonetheless that at least I got calls from the FIs.

May u do exceedingly well in your interview with Phillips.

I have a bit of everything in IT but more on IT infrastructure and SDLC. Nowadays, i think it is closer to what we call DevOps. I did come from Computer Science similar degree. When interviewing for CC, i focus on the knowledge related to CC (Eg. What you think about the benefits of Cloud Computing comparing to on premises data center?). Same for CS, showing the interest and what i have done to learn about it.

Wise move! Time waits for no man... always have backup plans. As for me, just continue doing my current job. Got chance to switch, switch as i'm turning 50 real soon. No chance to switch then continue to look around to see where got good lobangs.

No update from Citi. They did not pre-arrange meeting time. Just call me directly with no preparation. After phone interview, no news from them.

For me now I am aiming for CISSP certifications. From what I know, CS personnel normally manages multiple teams or part of internal compliance.

Just curious, you got any CS certifications?

I don't have CISSP or any popular CS certifications. I think with CS track, i have to go with at least a CS certification on my own.

I think you are still young and got a lot of opportunities. Can get exposure on both CS and CC. Seems like you have quite a lot of technical hands-on knowledge too!

You mean the interviewer even got sent u a SMS b4 he officially conduct a phone interview with u?

As for me, I got their phone call out of the blue without any preempt during my morning working hours. I also thought I was able to answer all his technical questions pretty well. However, since then no more hearing from them. Lol...

So will u wait for Citi to offer or had you just committed the offer with DB at AI track instead?
