For those who chose the CS track, did anyone select the host organisations or it was randomly assigned?

Got invited for couple of psychometric tests (foreign and local banks) and shortlisted for an interview with a foreigner insurer next week.

Am I correct to say that those who are currently invited for interviews are mostly in their twenties and from local unis?

Just a mini survey.

I didn't receive email for assessment & didn't choose any FI.

DBS just called me to say I was shortlisted... :unsure:

Idk how this works haha

IBF replied my email: "Eligible profiles that have passed the assessment have been shared with the hosting companies. You will be contacted for interviews if shortlisted."

A little survey for those who received invitation for interview.
1) How long does it take for you to complete the technical assessment (TA)?
2) On which day did you complete the TA?

I'm guessing mayb they interview based on the date you finished your TA. Like a first-finish-fiirst-interview basis.

The assessment i took 40mins. Did the assessment 1 day after the email.

I don't think so la. I finished the assessment on the same day they sent me and I confirm can pass de la.

My take here is that they likely pick the most eligible and more qualified people first (20-30s), with IT background or existing IT experience but trying to switch to another segment and then go down the candidate list.

One can say that the most qualified candidates can take their pick. Ultimately, one person one company.

Just received a call from a foreign bank.

According to the HR, there is a change in how FIs select applicants for interview.

  • (Old 2019/2020 model) Applicants list their top 3 Financial Institution (FI) choice for each TFIP track.
    • FIs will select from this pool for interview.
    • Downside is that FIs can't select applicants from the whole applicant pool.
    • Also unfair for FIs which are not as popular.

  • (New 2021 model) Applicants that make the cut are sent to all FIs for consideration. Selected applicants will be contacted for interview.
    • FIs can choose from bigger applicant pool. Applicants that make the cut will be receiving more interviews.
    • Downside is busy for FIs and applicants. Many interviews to deal with..

FYI guys. Hope everyone receive more emails/ calls for interview! :)

I saw any number without +65 i pick up. Hahaa seriously this week will be calling n asking for interview timing. Next week is real battle
