Yes, in fact all of us who applied for this programme should be from IT domain as well :)

Requirements as from IBF site:
*• Qualification in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
• Individuals who possess basic knowledge of computer** systems configuration and computer programming would be preferred

I am not from IT domain

So how was the interview with UOB? Did they ask lots of technical questions?
Not many technical questions. The HR mentioned that they should be able to finalize this week. If we are successful, IBF will inform us

Most likely IBF will announce the results before end of August so that those that were offered have enough time for 1 month notice period to handover their work before starting the cyber security training at Bridging Minds/SMU Academy.

I got the offer too. Not sure if want to accept. Cos it will be a pay cut for me

Not sure what you working as now but consider these below factors?

1. Did you choose this training to stay relevant in IT Career?
2. Will you have difficulty finding new job in future if you don’t make a switch now? Since now it’s Cloud, Data, CyberSec, Full Stack world.
3. Will you have difficulty in commanding the pay you are getting now in future if you stay in current job?

I am a PM in IT industry. I sign up for this training out of interest, and hope to specialise in cybersec. My company is moving towards cloud, so I am able to get exposed and learn cloud. There is a data analytics department in my company. If I want to switch over I should not have any problem. I have also experience in deep learning, machine learning.

I will choose to switch department. Don’t see a point to suffer pay cut and without CPF?

How much is the pay cut per year compared to 5.5k x 12? Remember you have to factor in the costs of the SMU courses as well as the on job training at the financial institutions. These combined might cover your pay cut difference.
