just attended the interview prep webinar.

some info to share with you guys...

new FIs on board are UBS, FWD, Bank of Singapore

some FIs are offering more tracks now.

from 35 FI-track units to 48 FI-track units. an increase of 13 units.

if we based on average 4 trainees per FI-track unit (original 140 slots over 35 FI-track units), the total possible slots will be 192 successful applicants.

certainty that interview will be conducted via zoom, webex or microsoft team etc.

do dress appropriately like a working shirt and don't look like you are out of the bed. that's what the HR said. :s13:

do prepare some interview questions for the interviewers.

do prepare some questions likely from the interviewers.

if you don't get selected by your preferred FIs, your cv maybe pass to other FIs who just open up more tracks or those new FIs on board.

there's also the possibilities that those who passed the technical assessment may not be selected for interview by the FI at all (hope it will not happen to all).

good luck to everyone here and hope you get your dream track and FI soon. cheers :)

Another take-away from the webinar is that the timeline for interviews + notification of offer is between now till early August.

It's gonna be a very long wait till we know if we've been accepted into this program :look:

Hi guys, do you have the link to check the application status of the programmes? It’s not available in the website after the application closes. Thank you.
ya the procedure is quite long for me. for those who are currently working, not much of an issue, but for those who are jobless it will be a huge waste of time.

but given how they increased the participating companies, there is a lot more work for them to do which will take more time. I hope this month the financial institutions will get back to us though to save time.

May I know how did you contact ibf?
TBH, I took the DA assessment last year but didn't know pass or fail. I didn't ask too.

This year, I applied for the AI and DA tracks. Got call for AI assessment. But no call for DA assessment. After my AI assessment, I asked IBF how come was not selected for DA assessment this year even though I was selected last year.

They replied that I passed the DA assessment last year so this year, no need to retake the DA assessment again.

My experience with ibf is hit and miss. Sometimes they answer, sometimes they don't.

For example, yesterday I sent them an email to update my cv due to added certificates. No acknowledgement from them.

What they claimed during the webinar is that we can update our cv by informing them if we want to.
it could be they are overwhelmed with all the shortlisting and din dong with the applicants and the FIs now. maybe can try asking them whether got receive your cv and update later or tomorrow. wishing you the best of luck and interview soon. cheers.

ur cv is the template they provide ? or ur own ?

cos they only said to upload the template they provide.. nothing else. they will ask from you if they need further docs.

Ok the webinar have ended, overall this is a better session as the hiring manager actually shared more about the past batch candidates experience, on average each banks have hired about 5-6 candidates. At least half of them will be converted to perm within 1 year into the program.

Note that you can email ibfcareersconnect@ibf.o*rg.sg for any career guidance, for example asking them to help review your cv and etc.

5-6 quite little..

Not sure if I heard correctly, but I think that one of the panelists mentioned that he already selected 5 candidates for interview? Anyone heard the same thing or got any interview lined up?

what jgyy is saying it's avg 5 trainee per track per FI

example. say ABC FI got 2 tracks. it will be avg 10 trainees for the 2 tracks.

yes i know

it is over 10-20 banks and institutions

5-6 per 1 for 20 of them is still quite little, though expected

i know there are about 48 track-FI units available.

the right way to estimate the total possible slots = avg number trainees per track-FI unit x total number of track-FI units.

thus the total possible slots = avg 5 trainees per track-FI x 48 = 240 slots.

i sent them an email too .
what IBF replied is that they have already submitted our profiles to the FIs ahead of the webinar. but never say if they will send my updated one to them. but advise me to bring my updated one and relevant supporting docs if there wld be an interview.

I put Goldman as first choice and noticed they view my linkedin profile recently but no email from them. anybody got interview email yet?
