Sorry to sound noob cos I am from non-IT background but I thought when ppl say data analytics, it refers to SQL, R, Python to name a few.

Do we have to pay to take courses plus certificates in Coursera?

I'm not expert either but I think DA is more like taking the data, explore it and interface with business people to explain the findings. The tools probably lean towards PowerBI and Tableau.

I just received the email for assessment too. Applied on 9 Aug 2021. I don't have any tech/IT background but took a basic course on Python, perhaps that helped.

Yea for DA, SQL R and Python are the languages you use. The courses would probably go past the basics and teach you how to apply these skills.

For coursera if I'm not wrong, you can audit the courses for free. You only need to pay if you want the certifications.

I got no background knowledge of any programming languages. But have prior studies in QA. Cause i know the assessment questions revolves around statistics.

I think the assessment is sent to those who have either listed DA certs or are of younger age. I applied on first day but still got nothing leh. though after application I started some e-learning on DA related but too late, can't list out on applications. oh well

no offence but maybe u not in the 20+ yr old range? I am also not in my 20s la. Judging from existing tfip 2020 in a US bank, I know many of them graduated in 2017 though.

no offence but maybe u not in the 20+ yr old range? I am also not in my 20s la. Judging from existing tfip 2020 in a US bank, I know many of them graduated in 2017 though.

there is no agism in this program, the only reason why more people in their 20s got shortlisted is coincidentally due to the qualifications they placed in their CV.

Planning to do on Sunday. I highly suspect the questions will be very similar to the SE track assessment less the few 3-4 Java CSS questions, judging by the number of questions and time given. For wondering what kind of questions, go look up other TFIP threads.

i read, some said easy, some said hard.. the requirement didnt state need knowledge in programming like the others, so i guess they wont be asking programming stuffs? since programming language proficiency is not a requirement..

Guess so. Even I did some course after I applied, so could not add it on my resume.

tbh, even if anyone did the assessment already, i doubt they will share anything. Technically we are all competitors here jostling for the limited number of positions available.
