I didn't get PR in Singapore, so eventually I have to move back to India. Cost of living in India is half of Singapore. I am already 45 years old and daughter is growing up and I don't want her to be stuck with foreigner status and no PR, also India enables me to retire early and do something else interesting.congrats ..didnt know you F.I.R.E.D already ...i remember reading you said your job is quite relaxing and not stressful at all. what made you retire early ?
I was working in Banking IT, but had no passion or interest in IT. Now it has been 3 months in India. In India the investment landscape is booming, especially unit trusts. I am considering taking up a license to become a unit trust distributor in India.
It is not really for the money, but I can have it as a LinkedIn status and talk about investing and if someone is interested I can help them with investing.
That's the plan, but let's see how it goes. Otherwise, I am taking it easy, spending my time picking up and dropping my daughter to school, watching markets and social media. I have taken up playing badminton. So life is good
