Come on it's Apple...Why couldn't it be perfect like this??

It's like that AhTiong head at the cinema keep poking out of his chair blocking your view. :s27:

Trust me, competitors will copy this design in years to come.
Just like the iPhone 6 design was first criticised for its thick bezels, now every HTC Oppo OnePlus company all embracing it like it's the standard of smartphones

I don't get it. Apple is saying because the iPhone X bezel is so thin, even though the phone is smaller than 8+, the screen is larger. But some "reviewers" on Youtube are claiming that this is not true and the viewing area is actually smaller. Assuming these self proclaimed experts are correct, how can this be so?

Also, some of these "experts" also claim the content will be warped as they will be "stretched". I guess it remains to be seen but I would be shocked if Apple really did release a phone that suffers from stretched content be it videos or apps.

Having said that I guess one needs to take what these people say with a huge bucket of salt cos in the age of social media, any clown can claim to be an "expert" or a "reviewer".

I am just waiting for some moron to try and poo poo Apple's water resistant claim by going diving with the phone. I still remember some idiot flung his iphone 6 out the 2nd storey window and when the screen cracked, he said Apple "lied" about the screen being crack resistant. LOL!!!

I am sure Apple just want to extend the screen as far as possible.

Since there is no Home Button, am sure Apple need to remind User

- Slide up from Bottom
- Slide down from Top Right
- Slide down from Top Left

Thus with the black bar there may people easier to easily identify where is left and right... ;)

For point 1, this is simple. It all boils down to aspect ratio. Take Samsung Galaxy Tab series vs iPad. 10.1" 16:9 looks smaller than 9.7" 4:3.

A X" screen will have a largest area if it is squarish.

This can be proven mathematically.

That black bar is there for one reason.
So that next iPhone X2 or iPhone 9, they can remove the black bar.
Apple likes to remove stuff because it's more courageous that way. This year iPhone X removes the Home button and touchID. This is the best iPhone yet that you have ever seen. It's technology is at least 3 years ahead of the competition.
