The side paint kena eroded till very ugly. Use bumper cover it makes it thicker...

Cannot stand it was tempted to buy the housing from Aliexpress cheap cheap then go Bugis Street ask the Ah Bengs to help install.

End up asked the repair stalls in Holiday Plaza help me order cos scared the Aliexpress one is fake. At least the Malaysian one the guy assured me the housing is original, with the SONY logo spot UV at the back all there.

It will cost me RM$180, which, after conversion, is still cheaper from Aliexpress + installation charges.

I didnt really blast my speakers to test. But at 1/2 volume setting, it seems fine so far.
I did do a full wipe before and after i flashed though. That usually kills off any minor issues as compared to just flashing while keeping all data.

I should blast it later and see how it goes with and without headphones.
If any issues then i'll try .33
Yeah, normally it's recommended to factory reset your phone after a major Android upgrade to get rid of bugs or issues from the previous versions.

Will wait for your sound test~ :s12:

Tested speakers - bottom speaker seems alittle softer, but just a tad bit, so not much concern for me.

Tested Headphones - i do hear a slight difference in quality, kinda got slightly worse, but not too much diff from before.

Call Volume - normal

I will probably try .33 this weekend and compare since i just saw that the global version is out

I think I shall take a leap of faith and update to the Nougat .376 update haha~
Maybe I do a full reset after that and see if there's any issues after that.

Backing up my data now haha :o

With a full wipe/factory reset it should be OK.
I got by the night with just 1-2% battery drain on idle with all background apps cleared (6hrs)

Have fun

That sounds nice!

The main reason I want the Nougat update is the Doze battery saver feature, which seems like a savior to the Z5 which is a battery-hungry beast :o

Okay, just downloaded the .376 firmware and now restoring the data and apps.

The status bar icons now aligns with the Xperia X UI which looks better IMO. Everything seems smoother, dont know if it's an placebo effect haha..

No issues with the speaker too, which is good~

Did you try iFixit? They managed to change some of my Z parts when it was waterlogged within the day.

But it is true that generally repair shops cannot do much with Xperia phones cos the yield is not there. Especially for the tablets. Everytime go around asking can repair this or that, usually no, or have to order parts.

You can try the repair shop from Bugis Street, near wo ai taimei there. They helped me fixed and replaced my Z5 bloated battery, on the spot. I was lucky enough they had stock for the battery. $30 for manpower charge, then parts depending on which.

I would rather you go Holiday Plaza in JB and order parts, if you have spare phone, cos over there definitely cheaper.

Imagine my Z5 housing, only RM$180, which is roughly slightly lower than $60. If over here might cost me around S$120.

Hi guys, my back housing cracked recently. Still can use but I am worried it'll become loose soon. Any idea where to replace it locally? Or should I order the part from eBay and then go to a shop to get them to replace, since I think the chance of them having the spare part is slim?

Hello! Ever since I update to the latest andriod version. Now Whatsapp got problem.

Always got the notification. If I off notification, then totally no vibration and sound at all. If I on, then got sound, vibration and notification.

How to have no notification but got vibration and sound anyone?

I am using Sony Xperia Z5 Premium running on Andriod Version 7.0.
