I'm using a 5600x with 3060Ti card, 64gb ram. is there any point to upgrading to a 5700x3d? how many more fps can I expect?

Read HWZ Forum Rules!
Based on the current setup, the real benefits will be your 1% low improvement closely match to your fps, if you do not have the norm monitoring your 1% low there is no point upgrading except the extra 2 core 4 thread improvement for productivity usage.

AMD is scraping the bottom of the barrel to use up the below-spec silicon. :ROFLMAO: Should be a popular budget pick if the price is right. I'm on 6-core 4 GHz myself and my CPU does what I need it to.

well, it's always cheap on AMZ

local price cmi unfortunately, no matter which shop techyard scrapyard whatever

@Yongkit @Mach3.2

The thermal conductivity of PTM7950 is insanely good, even when applied to an IHS on a CPU.

This setup is entirely silent in a non-meshed mATX case, with the top and sides covered.

Fans are 3 in 1 out setup, all running below < 1200 RPM.

The 5800x is paired with Scythe Fuma2 cooler with PBO values 107-72-105.

Testing was done at controlled temperature ambient 28c.

I never expected it to be this good. This ultimately beats anything that I ever tried.

The only downside is that the transition period took about 2 days to settle in after the first application. My initial results from 2 days ago were easily 10c higher than now. It can take quite a while to fill the gaps since it repeatedly goes from solid to liquid.

So the night after I cleaned my computer with a fresh application and booted up Horizon West at release, it went near 80c, and after about 30 minutes, it magically went down, which I found weird.

Just yesterday, I realized my CPU has never gone past 63c anymore while hitting the max boost clock. That's why I decided to run the test.
how is it now? performance still same?

It's still the same, not even a single bit of diff.

I just tested, and everything is within the margin of error.

It's quite insane that even after all this time, nothing has changed.

Also, I applied the PTM7950 on my laptop iGPU, using 780M.. the clock speed went higher, and I could draw higher power, which also fixed the issue I had with those sudden throttling that made my fps dip down.

pls dont buy this tim, so the cost can remain low, i scared it become popular n ppl start to buy

i got 80x80 piece, can use for awhile, I decide to use it for everything

If you are holding to a 5000 or 7000 series AMD processor. This may or may not happened but will still be good to update your bios.

https://www.pcgamer.com/hardware/pr...tem-flaw-but-its-pretty-difficult-to-exploit/

These are the fixes but not on 3000 series.

I wouldn't worry since many vectors of attacks need to be successful before this vulnerability can be exploited, but yeah still good to update.

Obsolete in the sense that the socket is already a ded end, but Mama Su still have a lot of love for us. There are still new CPU coming out this year.
