Last night, there was quite a fair bit of bearish sentiment / news and I am fairly surprised at the Market's resilience. Volume was heavy but S&P futures just could not make any lower. This may well set the stage for a move higher... 2950 is the key topside level. I do not think we would see a break just yet but the longer the levels pull away and hug the topside, the higher a chance we see this break. As usual, I would focus on my intraday trades until we see some med term direction being established.

I am starting to look at the UK market and think Brexit event provides some good opportunities. Looking to rebuild my long term portfolio with some allocation there.... a hard Brexit may warn of some pain economically but I think the Market may well have factored some of the worst case scenarios.

I'm actually getting convinced that there is going to be another rate cut in September for the Fed. Economic data is getting more bad than good like 2/3 bad and 1/3 good when it used to be 50-50 earlier this year. This is even though economists have already revised down expected numbers. Probably a 25bips cut will be good.

I find that this economy downturn is really a joke. Nothing wrong with economy until Trump and his tweets and trade war sending it down. Im also only on day trade, take money and run each day, very hesitant to go in longs for stocks anymore. I think the market is also sick and tired of his tweets.

I realized that folks who longed the market have benefited so much more than ppl who wait and/or shorted over the past 10 years

It’s tiring to be patient

Staying long is a high probability and surely to make money but returns is lower.

Shorting is like gambling. Low probability but potential returns is higher.
