In this thread nobody knows anything except revhappy but then he ate his own words..

Sti 2999 is still a possibility. I'm not ruling it out. The bear thesis is still intact and I guess that's why we are seeing rotation into value, people are not exiting but repositioning

STI 3000 is a physcological barrier. Once broken down many SSI warriors have buy stops placed 100-200 points below it. Unless they flip prata and say don't catch a falling knife. :s13:

Mr. revhappy may have placed a limit buy order of $500,000 futures contract at 2899 level. Stop loss 2898. :D

Which is a better election slogan? "Stock market at record high" or "Blame China for stock market crash"

Just follow this simple strategy.

Sell or hold when the market is up.

Add progressively when market is down.

If you have a monthly investment plan, then just stick to it.

Above may suit index trading more than indiv stock pick. Try the above on a stock that is turning down after a prolonged stretch of uptrend and you will cry. Individual stocks can and do peak and this is especially so when the conditions that powered its uptrend is no longer valid. There are several stocks in today's market that are flashing danger signs... They have been on an uptrend and it is easy to just ride on it thinking that recent declines are corrections. But do take a second look... Did the stock continue trending higher after the S&P broke higher last week? If not, I would be inclined to think that the stock has run out of gas. Heavy volume is also a sign that the stock is seeing new supply coming in and another red alert.

Wonder how many shorts in oil futures get blown out???

The rally may be short lived. Oil shock is something that most governments and central banks will react to. So I expect Governments to start announcing that they are going to tap on reserves to tide this period over until the Saudis are able to get their facilities up. This is assuming that there would not be further attacks and security gets boosted up.

It was testing the breakout support originally. Now gap up, think might close my position earlier tonight to secure this small win relief. I reckon this panic will subside in a few days.
