Quite meaningless to proclaim if it is a bull or bear market unless one is trading index. There are several stocks that are trading with a bearish stance even in a bull market and vice versa. So far, my shorts are more profitable than my longs even as the index traded higher prior.

I don't see how Uber is really a major tech company.

What kind of huge R&D do they need? Maybe can benchmark the spending with Grab.

They should be focusing on marketing and gaining more market share instead.

Exactly .... if the US$ 3 billion is to be spend on renewables (like solar and wind), you can setup close to 3000 to 3500 MW generation capacity. Far better usage than whatever R&D they are talking about in ride hailing business.
