2 and 10year yield bond yield spread used to be 14basis points when 10year yield was at 1.8x%.
Now the bond yield spread has dropped to 12 basis points... Hmm...

It will...it will... Patience will pay off... We are just at the beginning. 2% more of fed cuts to come by to maintain inflation rate, I don't mind.

The 2s-10s can stay flat for a long time before anything happens - IIRC in the late nineties the US yield curve was flat for about two years before the recession kicked in, and in that time US equities went up nearly 50%.

Anyway, this is why I built www.istheyieldcurveinverted.net.

More than the yield curve, the thing that scares is negative bond yields. It is now possible that the entire US yield curve dips into negative. Life below zero. Bond ETFs charging more for you to lose money. How sustainable is that? Especially for pension funds and retires who are banking on the coupons rather than capital gains.
