anyone knows locally where i can shorten my filson bag strap? i find it too long for my liking even at the last 'hole', and there is a whole lot of access 'strap material' just dangling at the ends.

I'm using a Filson 256 black collection. What you want to know?

i'm eyeing a 256 otter green, i want to know:

- how well the bag stays in shape even with little or no items inside over time
- revolve clothing like no more 30% liao, any1 can verify?
- lastly do u feel if there is an alternative? or nothing comes close as far as the price range or lower goes

1. The bag holds its shape well even when empty. It's very thick waxed canvas and doesnt go out of shape (I fully stuffed mine till about 8-10kg, surprisingly held up well) But the 256 model wont stand on its own without a laptop/book inside. It will fall flat. If you want it to hold its shape and stand upright when empty/slightly full, get the 257

2. No. Select models are on sale at the website right now (filson.com).

3. When the 256 is on sale, nothing comes close to the quality/price ratio. Can go as low as 150 USD
