Yup, made in Vietnam

Interesting. Guess they outsource for the cheaper 420d nylon models. Cordura material models are made in house.

Don't think MIV is a bad thing since everygoods and north face bags are made there as well.

Try writing in regarding the stitching. does look abit off

Guys, do you know where to buy second hand authentic bags in SG ah? That is online?

you can find it in Carousell BUT..BUT...BUTTTTTT

as with purchasing second hand items, you need to do your homework to differentiate fake and authentic :o

you can also consider pasting the link and hopefully some of us can help you judge if its authentic or real :o

Received the brown buffalo concealed 19l backpack today. But was disappointed with the quality. The sewing at the top looks terrible and the left corner look weird.. Is this acceptable?

Sent from Samsung SM-N960F using GAGT

i hope you dont mind, i'm just trying to help you accept the bag...:D

the sewing at the top looks ok leh, i dont see any fault from the images...

the left corner, because its folded in? if so, i think sometimes is liddat de...my mystery ranch BIG BOP also is like that, folded in...and it has a awkward "curve" to it...

maybe you juz apply some gentle force and tug apart both ends of the bag to see if the stitching holds up well and if you can visibly sight any "movement" in the threads...if the threads already looks like its gonna tear open easily with more load, email brown buffalo and ask for some recourse...

i secretly am hoping their reply will satisfy you...their brand quite solid, hope their customer service will match up to their brand~

Maybe the previous photos not that clear, I attached with the areas circled in red, can see the unevenness in the sewing. For those areas, more cloth was pull into the sewing.. Thus the profile is not a smooth curve.

I wrote to Douglas and he agreed is not right and immediately shipped out another new bag. Thumb up for their quick actions..

i just came across a youtube done by CHASE, whereby he visited a few backpack microbrand companies which are located in SFC, like Dspatch, PD, Waterfield etc

Dspatch actually mentioned that its very expensive to make bags in USD, because the factories charge by stitching. which greatly increases the manufacturing cost per bag...

I can see why US bag companies prefers to do their bags overseas in countries like India, Indonesia, Philippines, Vietnam, Thailand and China

Touch and feel, good range would be at Tangs men's section. They carry the totes, 256, 48h and dryden series.

I have 3 filson bags. They go on sale really often in the US. I would suggest you buy there and use a forwarder.

Thank you. I will be going to Bangkok next month. Heard from some bros they carry filson at quite a good price. Either I buy there or buy online and get a forwarder :)
