I will recommend you a sling bag. on days whereby I just wanna bring a few small items, i will use the Northface Mantis pouch

but if you think that you will be buying something.... then you can consider a packable backpack like the Osprey Ultralight

just sharing my friend's experience, esp in travelling with the GR1.
he brought his GR1 to Taipei, which is quite a cooling country. The heat generated makes carrying the bag a very terrible experience, esp since he has to carry the bag for prolonged duration

(i.e. SG still ok cause u prob only carry the bag during your commute. During your working hours, bag is away from u)

take note of this point if u really going for a Goruck.

ehh its just velcro as well :) how was your multicam v2?

It's a spectacular bag. Technically there's nothing that makes it stand out compared to other bags but there's something special about it that makes me keep wanting to use it. I think it's the details like the way it stands, the oversized zips, the top handle.. It's just fun to carry and use.

Anyone use the Prima system? How is it?

i used it for a week, not sure if its sufficient to give a good review.
but its heavy and i dont like the packing system.
oh, did i mentioned its heavy?

disclaimer, again. i used it for a week for a 4D3N trip. Loaded with camera gears, tripod and jacket. on trips where i didnt bring camera, i removed the camera gears and tripod completely and only had basic like jackets and chargers etc inside only. thats my usage of the Prima.

Hi all, am looking for a new EDC bag. Anyone tried TAD Axiom 18 and Brown Buffalo Conceal and is able to give comments about them? Or if there are other recommendations.

Had been using a goruck but my back gets hot because there is no ventilation.

Normally I carry a 1L nalgene bottle, 13" laptop, phone/laptop chargers some notebooks.

I think you should avoid the conceal then. It relatively similar, little back ventilation so back sweat is inevitable. I'm strictly using for edc so its not that bad for me. You can also look at the newer TAD Axiom 24. Axiom is a pretty nice pack... lightweight and durable. :)

unable to give comments about Brown Buffalo but i freaking love my Axiom18.
i sold it before, used other bags but bought back the Axiom18, tts how good it is.

when empty, it has a slim profile so its nice for me (i personally prefer bags to be slim when its empty..looks nicer)

but dont let it fool you, i can really REALLY pack a lot into this bag. your listed load, no issues at all.

why i prefer the Axiom18 over the 24 (i sold 18, bought 24, sold 24, buy back 18) is because the 24 has a flap that covers over the front admin panel, se beh ugly. and i frankly don't sense the extra capacity because the 18 can already pack so much le.

my vouch for you goes to the 18. SG got two TAD retailers, price is good, u can try check from them.

Looking for an affordable office work bag pack below $100, thanks!
How big is your laptop?

As a work backpack, what are the things you bring as EDC?

Personally I never like the additional velcro pockets. It never does stick to the velcro on my bag

After comparing a few bags, i went back to Thule, this time subterra mineral 23L.

https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B01N9HL742/ref=ya_aw_od_pi?ie=UTF8&psc=1

$50 cheaper den local shop, which is ard $208.

Errant - unknown shipping duration, worry abt its SG stock. Else will just buy and keep.

Dayfarer - its in euro, too exp. But should be gd.

Black Ember - i like but outside my budget.

Chrome - too basic compartment

AER - i dont like

Incase city - ok just the thule i brought is cheaper. Hahaha
