The new AER day pack 2..kinda of lost that look.. Think they shorten the height by 1 inch.. It make the bag look more rounder and lost the slick and slim look.. Version 1 looks the best

What material is it? Look quite light and good for sports!

Hi may I know how come goruck not recommended? quite interested in the GR1 design and durability

Because GR1 got no back ventilation. I would recommend a north face back for you, something like the recon. Very comfy and won't break the bank but the design make not be to your liking. :o

Aer backpack is the most comfortable backpack so far I use.. Loves the bag except I prefer water bottle on left side of bag and the side pocket on the right..

ah the brand look interesting, will take a look. thank for the recommendation

design wise, the front pocket is unusable once you fill up your main compartment

durability, i dont think you are gonna drag your bag along the sands of Afghanistan, or carry it with you when you swim across SG river. to that extent, there are many other bags who has the same level of durability to Goruck for our context.

lack of back ventilation = very very very hot and sweaty back.

I have been using a Gr1 26L for a mth, before that used a 21L Rucker.

Yes it lacks back ventilation, but for my use not that bad, I usually drive so i dun carry it continuously for long periods. Even when i take public transport, it will be on the floor when stationary, so really i dun carry it long enough to accumulate sweat.

It will be a problem if you carry it for long hours, like overseas to use as daypack backpacker style, or for a run at bedok reservoir.

You want comfort, cheap, rugged, durable, back ventilation? Get a camelbak HAWG. I brought it overseas as daypack use. Damn shoik.

I have actually 4 gorucks, best for me was the echo but now discontinued already. Gr1 is good also and i got in two colors. Gr1 is best if you wanna lug around laptops and stuff. I used mine for travel alot, brought to brisbane and yogja and k before, i can really stuff it to the brim, outside pocket u still can put some stuff like passport or tissues or keys also can but when full its slightly difficult to take out but doable. And rainproof plus the straps are nice and thick so not too bad on the shoulders. The other compartmentsmake you think properly wat to pack.

goruck for me still ok, i have the gr1 and echo.. plus some other packs, so i rotate and use..

yes the gr1 will give you a sweaty back but the carrying capacity is really good, every inch of the main compartment can be used due to its squarish design, this is also the main reason i am letting go of my tad litespeed because i cannot appreciate the rounded top..

anyone looking for a foliage litespeed can drop me a pm.. mine is in great condition as i dun use it often..
