both my daily n bi weekly is acuvue...

Go find a qualified OPTOMETRIST ,not just another optician.Someone who is trained.
From S poly or overseas, alot out there are not properly trained.
TRAINED OPTOMs will have a small card (practising Certificate) with the title Optometrist printed on it.Others are just opticians .OPEN YOUR EYES AND OPEN YOUR MOUTH AND ASK

got diff contact lens for diff eyeball "shape" one issit? cos i tried contact lens, wear not much problem, but take off is very difficult, like stuck on my eye like that. so i stopped wearing. the other day i went to another shop, i brought up to the boss, and he say is because they gave me wrong type of contact lens... :s11:

Yes ,there are different curves, diameters, materials eg Hema Copolymers, etafilcon A,senofilcon A ,galyfilcon to name some.
Some materials are smoother ,more slippery than some.eg vifilcon A and nelfilcon A which is used by Ciba Vision's monthly and dailies. That could be the reason why it's not easy to take out.
This Optical trade is a competitive trade, alot of BAD Mouthing each other...
The original optical shop may have given you the Ciba Vision's focus brand, which is good in its own right,it does not attract deposits easily..STAY CLEAN AND HEALTHY

For the shop that you're saying, they might have alot of outlets, but the person is he AN OPTOM or just AN OPTICIAN.

Most of the time they rotate their OPTOMs around ,not enough OPTOMs to go around .Like having 10 putlets they have only 5 or 6 OPTOMs .An OPTOM can have 2 practice certificate hanging at 2 to 3 shops I think..5 days weeks, WHO COVERS FOR THEM....They cannot be at 2 place at same time..

OPEN YOUR MOUTH TO ASK AND OPEN YOUR EYES TO SEE... haha

Anybody has same problem as me? I just bought 1yr supply of O2Optix. Went home to try the trial lens. Realised my left eye superb clear bt will giddy. I asked the optician (mgr) then he let me try another lower deg trial lens. The lower deg wan more comfortable but not clear. I call back asked for another trial lens thats in between and he said the lower deg he gave is the next lower wan liao. He explained is becoz contact lens nearer to eyeball so will giddy, ask mi go try another day decide which wan to choose.

But both also no good how to choose?? Is this normal?

if willing to pay for the Optom to teach you to fit the lens and check your eyes, think most shops will get you started, with the trial pair. Most shops might charge you $20.or get your friend to teach you for free but buy a pair of monthly, some shops sell by the pair.

first wonder why you buy a year supply.?

the reason could be that your right eye might be the dominating eye ,with astig.(just guessing)and not corrected properly or under corrected.Left eye no astig fully corrected.
So left eye more clear ,leading to left eye clearer and using more of the left eye to see .leading to giddy.
Get the guy to check again.Leave the deciding to him,get him be responsible for your EYEs.

TELL HIM THAT YOU WILL GO COMPLAIN TO HSA AT telephone number 63252945 if not advice properly

Permanent one very lei cheh, have to really take good care of it, clean it well and maintain it. I know alot of people who had got permanent ones then end up throwing it away cos it was too much hassle, then they switched back to disposable. And some others i know.. went for lasik lol. Perma lens usually harder than soft lens, for first timers might not be as comfortable.
