I asked around, this design is very common.
Ours is it suction type? If yes, my friend says stay high floor still ok.
If stay low floor then need to worry.
He says always spoilt bcoz pple throw too big items.
So stay low floor may stinks.
Another concern is noise when pple throw rubbish.
When TOP then we can tell the impact.

If bags of rubbish are left around the rubbish chute or trash bags leak while throwing the rubbish away, the area will really be smelly

Only 4 units per floor, easy to spot who is the culprit. If dun listen then complain to mgmt.
