Had my maiden flight this afternoon.
Everything works fine other than it cannot “return home”.
GPS is present and home point recorded. But when I initiated a RTH about 5m away from the recorded home point, it started to descend and land instead of flying back to the home point.
Luckily, I manage to stop the descend in time before it hit the tree top.

anyone wants to fly drones at woodlands waterfront park this saturday?
I do not know if NPB has a "no-fly" sign at that park, but this park is not listed as restricted on their website.
The place is at the border of 5km boundary from Sembawang Airbase. So smaller drones like Spark and fly low altitude. I will bring my Spark and Tello.

Or can also go bashing at "....one-north for the Car-Free Sunday SG event on April 29, the skies will be abuzz with drones."
Haiz, me still haven't take my yellow sparky for a maiden spin yet.... weekends + mayday burned for volunteering works....
Gotta RTFM @ pg14 :
"When the aircraft is between 3 m and 20 m from the Home Point, it will land automatically with the RTH at Current Altitude option disabled (the default setting in DJI GO 4).
The aircraft will return to the Home Point at the current altitude with the RTH at Current Altitude option enabled if flying at or above 2.5 m, and it will ascend to 2.5 m then return to home if flying lower than 2.5 m when the aircraft is between 3 m and 20 m from the Home Point""

Yes! I got my red sparks today. Was pulling hair trying to scan the QR code for linking the Rc as I keep failing. After linking pulling hair again as unable to acquire gps so unable to launch it to fly. Finally goggle the secret code to push both sticks inwards left and finally I could start the rotors and fly just with the remote.
I also tried the sports mode oh my god My heart missed a few Beats as my sparks suddenly become a racing drone!

I had some challenges to link with phone and RC initially. Give another tries and it should be ok.
As for GPS, I took some time before it acquired the signals. At 1 point, it prompted me to calibrate my compass but without success due to magnetic interferences. Moved a distance away and it prompted a battery firmware update. After that, all is fine.
Wow! suddenly so many new Spark Friends!
Today flew my Spark at Woodlands Waterfront

ya, had just tried answer to that guy on youtube. That place is just fall within NFZ (somewhere at that 5km border), and those things capture inside video could be easily captured by handphone from Johor Bahru side. Hope he is satisfied with the answers.
In Singapore, the general public still treating drone flyers as nuisance![]()
just pull video off from youtube, the guy making more complaints..![]()
