Sian. Mavic Mini in SG is the CE version w 2km range. Any idea if it will be legal for us to fly the FCC version with the 4km range if we import it?

Not sure on laws, but there's a Mavic Spark thread that said you can switch from CE mode to FCC mode by spoofing the GPS location and using certain firmware. If you have time, maybe wait a few more weeks until more people get the Mavic Mini. It might not be necessary to import a Mini if the mode can be changed via software.

Cheers

Are these 8 spots still applicable since it’s dated 2018

Chiu welly lich air cost $1k++

I started off with budget of less than $500(Hubsan Zino and Xiaomi X3), decided to get a Spark as recommended by some here, but found not in production.
Found one last unit at DJI Funan selling $819 flymore but 2 battery.

Then mini came but as it did not have the front and rear sensor, I figured that spending almost $700 to crash into trees is not an option for me.
Kind of paying more for "insurance". I crashed a couple of time, my RC helicopter before I even learn to fly and hover!

Anyway...wife said..pay more to get a good one rather than keep upgrading..hoseh liao!

to me the most important thing is the 250g weight as I intend to fly overseas.

don't want to get into trouble with laws...
