I was in Japan the week before and it is my first overseas flight along the coast. Weather was hot that day and wind was very strong. The basic rule to fly in Japan is away from dense populated area, day flight and not more than 150m.
After taking off, i fly towards the sea and i realise my mavic was drifting and not in the direction i wanted. My HS is basic less than 5km. To counter i have to switch to sports mode which can only hit around 25km at max throttle.
For those wants to fly overseas, do take note of your drone condition else your drone might not return. You are very unlikely to encounter such wind in Singapore, i have tried flying on super windy days at very high altitude, still it can't compare to the wind i encounter along Japan coast at below 150m.
I did not try to go far and i only brought 3 batts which I used 2 only as it is too dificult to counter the wind.
Good luck to those trying out overseas flying
