A few questions hopping someone experienced in this field can help out.

I'd a oversea friend working in the tourism industry coming to SG to film a few videos for his company. He asked if flying a drones around mount faber park was allowed and if there's any restrictions around it? If not, is there any ways he can apply for a permit to do it?

Well, you can get all the infos from https://flywhere.sg .

Basically:
- Mount Faber is not listed in Npark's NFZ

- Your activity tag under "Operations that are Non-recreational or Non-research in Nature"

- If play under "Operations that are Recreational or Research in Nature" , Class 2 Activity Permit is needed to fly at higher than 200ft (60m height) AMSL* , which Mount Faber's highest point already at ~105m ...

Hello,

I'm new to the drone hobby and new on this forum.

I've been struggling to find info on where would I be allowed to fly my drone. I have read the rules on caas website though.

Could you share with me how you guys figure out where to fly?

Also if you have any advice of location where I can go and play with my drone please let me know.

Thanks in advance

Thanks.

So it's a reliable source? Any place not highlighted is safe?

What are the rules regarding smaller parks (like Tiong Bahru Park for instance)?

Also, if you have any advise on where I could go for flying let me know.

Thanks again

Hi,

Anybody from the group have knowledge or interest in this topic?

I'm looking to write a white paper on it and hopefully leading to a POC. So I am looking to find a collaborator.

You can check me out on LinkedIn to see my background

Do you guys get ND filter? If yes, which are the recommended ones to purchase?

I'm using ND4. I bought only ND4 for Spark, Mavic2 and Osmo Pocket. I do not point my drones/Osmo to sunset or sunrise.

if you are professional photographer, get the whole set.

Jjpro x5 or sjrc f11 pro?

(Better don't fly drones these few months, until NDP, F1 are over)

My suggestion, try spend S$100 more and get a (all ~S$400):
- a new set Hubsan H117S,... or
- a new set Fimi A3,.. or
- a used DJI Spark

I do not own or fly a Hubsan H117S/Fimi A3 before.
But I'm still flying my Spark often

H117S and Spark are Digital Video transmission
Fimi A3 is Analogue Video transmission
