hello! blade,

that regular place that you guys had been flying, any problem with that place now? i seldom see people flying there these days.

i'm thinking of practicing at that place, but slightly further away from army camp, and nearer to the new pedestrian canal bridge. about >200m away from CAAS NFZ or away that army camp restricted zone.

We hardly fly at the heavy vehicle carpark nowadays. We fly further up in the forest from the place you mention.
it's more interesting with nicely spaced trees, usually in the morning. Good for training close proximity flying.
There is another group that flies racing circuit in the afternoon-evening near the big tree but I never flown with them before.

hello guys, i'm searching for a selfie drone (preferably pocket size with foldable arms) and i shortlisted Dobby from Zerotech and unfortunately, i can't seem to get anymore of this product.
Can anyone recommend me that's almost on par with Dobby? I'm leaning more of a good picture quality (smart phone quality) and i'm a newbie

Thanks!

Hi guys, I am new here, and I have been reading this drone thread for quite some time.
I am interested in getting my first drone, probably the DJI Mavic air as DJI is well known and it's also within my budget.

I understand that the Mavic air has been out since last year, is it still worth to get this as my first drone or should I wait?

My main use will be for traveling photography and film, not racing. I am a designer, have some basic editing skill with premier pro, etc. would like to create some travel video...

Mavic Air should be the best choice. But note that reliable range for Mavic Air could be only about 200m inside S'pore. This is due to lower RF transmission power limit allowed by IMDA inside S'pore, and also too much RF interference inside S'pore. Reliable Range for my Mavic2 is only about 600m inside S'pore. Mavic Air is Wifi, MavicPro/Mavic2 is OcuSync. I do not own a Mavic Air and never flew it before. Anyway unlikely to go wrong with Mavic Air as first drone.

https://www.dji.com/sg/products/compare-consumer-drones

guess Fimi X8 and Hubsan H117S should give you longer range, but photo quality might not be as good as Mavic Air, and no obstacle avoidance, Vision position and etc. also much heavier and another set of other problems. :D

Hi all. Newbie here. Wanna get a drone for aerial shots of houses and kids activities. Was looking at the DJI spark but it seems like they seem to be out of stock. Are there any shops that sell them still?

Am being told that Spark is no longer in production and DJI is promoting their Mavic Air and other stuffs.

You can try looking at Banggood or Geekbuying (word of caution if you wanna buy from them, i bought a drone and they gave me a 2nd hand piece)

hello! blade,

what's the range you get for jumper T8/T12?

My FS-I6 and FS-A8S pair gives me only about 50-100m. The drone hits 50m distance in seconds easily, then crashed.

That problem could also be due to I have 2 mavics beside me. I'm thinking of changing my FS-I6 to Jumper T12.
