burn in issue is always user caused. try decreasing the brightness of display and activate AOD/screen off feature.

any AMOLED panel will give you the equal chance of getting burn in..

It depends on how you use it. Those who experience screen burn are users who's screen is always super bright and have an still image displayed for a long time.

So far haven experienced any in my record of samsung flagships.

Recently traded in my note 8 for upgrade to note 9.
Told that there was a burnt in. So I cancelled the trade in and being to servicing since it's under warranty.
Replaced the screen, battery and the bezel. As good as new.
Apparently battery is attached to the screen as I was told.
Suggest people to check for burnt in especially if the set is still under warranty.

Yes.that is what the technician told me.

yes. before send in for service they will wipe off your data. Best to have backup

Later I am going down to Westgate Samsung service centre to replace my battery.. FOC.. still within warranty. Hope they can find problems in the battery and change

did you set the USB mode correctly? upgraded your smart switch software on PC?

Pc does not detect phone.
Set USB mode to mtp in developer option.

Will try to find smart switch software to try.

I dropped by Westgate Samsung service centre this afternoon around 1ish.

I informed them my battery drained terribly fast. They checked here and there and told me looking at history, it isn't so bad. I insisted they do a check.

They took.my phone and informed me could be 3 to 4 days. I said ok - signed a few papers, needed to do hard reset etc.

One and half hour later, I received sms from them that it is repaired and can come.down to collect.

They told.me the battery has been replaced. In addition, they also replaced my charging port. ALL FOC.. becos I have 3 days left in my warranty.

Cant block ads if you are using youtube app. Unless your phone is rooted to gain system wide ad blocking. Correct me if iam wrong.

Same experience, screen burnt-in/image retention issue.
Done less than 1.5hr. New screen, battery, USB port and side frame of the phone as they told me all as one piece. So all changed together.

Now more reasons to wait till Note 10

How bad was your battery drain? Thinking of getting mine checked. My battery seems to only last 26 hours with 4hrs+ SOT on FHD. Previously it could go 30+ hours on WQHD. Did all the recommendations (wipe cache, reset permissions etc) but still no improvements.

Just visit the service centre and talk to them until they take on your phone. Let them evaluate the extent of the damage.

Make sure u backup your data b4 sending in.
