Anyone experiencing random phone vibrates without any notifications?

Sent from Samsung SM-N950F using GAGT

Are you one who places cards at the back of your device? It might be the case that the NFC is picking up those cards and buzzing.

I've experienced this before! I always keep mine in my front left pants pocket. Dismissed it as "Phantom vibration syndrome" until one day felt and heard the phone vibrate while it was on my desk with absolutely nothing around it. This was more common for me on older firmware. I don't recall it happening in the last two updates.

Mine had random notifications alert (tone n vibration) 5 to 6 times in a row abt 1min apart for apparently no reason. Couldn't find the cause of it.

Recently had my screen replaced, hence the phone was reset by Samsung. Now all back to normal even after the latest update.

2) I realized that my Note 8 is not flat/even. When I place it down on a flat surface, the right side (the side where the headphone jack is located), seems to be a little higher than the other side. When I place it with the rear cameras facing down, I can just tap lightly on the bottom right (where the headphone jack is) and the phone will move down a little, as there is some space between the phone and the surface. Same goes for when i place it flat down, the top right also seems to be a little higher. Is this normal?

It seems like the battery is starting to bloat. Get it checked by Samsung ASAP.

Just sharing my experience...

Went down to Samsung service center this afternoon due to screen burn in. Got a SMS informing me for collection after 90 mins. Their engineer has replaced new battery, new mid frame and screen for my repair. I found some extra glue stains on my back panel when collecting back my phone. I told the lady CSO to let the engineer assemble again. It took her about 10 mins to return me with a perfect phone (with water resistance passed). It's their SOP to replace these items if there is any screen related issues.

Do note that of there will be additional charges if Samsung CSO finds any crack, dent on the screen, back panel or mid frame. Lastly, the lady CSO told me not to use the phone in high brightness to prevent any burn in on the screen.

Thanks for sharing. Luckily my brightness is set to auto, meaning when its dark, it will dim the light. When its sunlight, it will auto adjust to fit the brightness.
That is the tech limitation of current OLED tech. The best way to prevent it is to avoid high brightness (above 80%) and avoid static image for too long.

Any one experience the paint near the corner especially at the S pen socket areas starting to peel off. Mine was on case since day one and really upset with this. None of my previous note has this problem even after many years of usage.

I search the forum apparently there are such cases oversea mainly on black Color unit. Called Samsung, they said they never have such case reported and said that they can help to check the unit but will charge inspection fees..

Yes, the paint on the frame will peel off easily on some Samsung devices especially those glossy surface type.

not really, it depends on how you handle your phone. I've been using curved screen phone for quite awhile, from Note Edge, to S6 edge, S7 edge to Note7 and now Note8. Must have a good protective cover

to add on, i've dropped my Note8 out of the fast-moving buggy and fell down the concrete slope before. It was without screen protector, but was protected with a spigen casing.
