have call their tech support but they cant help and if need to fix fees is apply... seriously the patch somehow make the hardware faulty then we pay for their issue

yeah lo. Must tell them, so many cases of people after updating firmware become like that, why must we pay just to inspect the phone first, then pay for the change too.

after updating to the oct security patch firmware, the n8 now supports volte using TPG SIM card. I can now make calls and sms. yeah!

I recently just updated the phone and after a few days, my phone can't turned on at all. I tried to charge and press power & volume button but still the phone is not turned on. The led did not turn red when charging. I sent to Samsung Service Centre for repair, and after diagnosis both motherboard and battery are spoilt. Cost $500+ to replace them. Just to check anyone encounter this problem after updating?

Wonder which batch of motherboard this update affects. Mine was manufactured at 2018 oct. Cause i bring in for battery fault and they change my motherboard as well.

After this update no problem. What about you guys?

If you see samsung's device care app in galaxy store available for update, dont do it. That update mess up my processor speed. The quad moongoose core permanently stuck on 1170 clock speed. Made my phone lag like hell. No choice have to spend hours factory format and reinstall all apps in my phone. Force downgrade using play store's older version will not solve it.
Regarding the new firmware update with oct security patch, did it and its working fine.

I also. But this time kena jia lat. And its confirm that app. Cause i only update that app on tuesday afternoon. After update the phone start to have problems. And device care app have the permission to limit core speed.

Seems that they remove the update in galaxy store. Cant find it.

Not really sure as i did not really monitor much. It looks like just a security update though. Battery life looks like that same or slightly better, but definitely not worse.
