this thread is definitely cool, there isn't any metal thread in soft lol.

personally i prefer non-brutal and more abstract forms of metal where the meaning isn't that easy to be obtain.

bands i like include, and not just limited to:

In Flames
Dream Theater
Nightwish
Kamelot


haha, not sure if these bands sound to main stream to you, but i think they still share the same ideology of metal in that it's a complex form of personal expression.
