Actually, I'm on xtwis side.

Did corter say he will pay u to ship it back?
Even if he did, it's not your obligation I feel...

Good to return of cos, but not an obligation, and when the seller behaves like its your fault and goes with legal talk, I'd prolly give him the finger and **** care.

If he requests nicely and everything I'd be more inclined to make the trip to the post office. Just sayin la hahahah.

well, will anyone go barking like a mad dog for no reason? xtwis must have told him to suck it up and corter leather went wild.

corter leather is in USA, go legal over something under US$300 is not worth the trouble. of course xtwis can get away with it, if I am corter leather I may not sell to Singapore anymore or simply overcharge in shipping and handling. other local buyer suffer only what.

if U are the type that give ppl the finger and **** care in states, with all the shooting going on your life is only worth a few hundred dollars to u?

Anyway case closed so let's not dwell too much on this.

Yes. I told Eric (corter) that I had received the wrong item. He said he can send out the correct item after I provide him with a tracking number. Then I just decided to keep the cordovan not cause of the monetary value but I don't remember natural veg tan smells this good as I have their belt. Plus he requested for the full difference.

Actually there's no them. Corter is a one-man production. He can't deduct from my PayPal anyway. Any retailer, once shipped considered sold unless customer returns.

I'm never going to order from corter leather again. It was his mistake that he sent me the wrong item and when I said I'm going to keep it. He either demanded a refund or return despite the fact that it was purely the seller's mistake. Then he went all legal on me by saying this is theft and all the bs. As a seller, you move on when you make a mistake and learn from it. Not try to make things such that you were never wrong in the first place.

As a seller myself. I don't expect to go about recovering the balance of payment if I sent out any wrong item to a customer. Even at a retail store, is the store going to do a charge back to customer if he store sold a wrong item? I'm not in law so I don't understand how does the legal terms work

I paid him the balance. I didn't want to return it since there's a chance that it might get lost. Then responsibility lies with me and I might end up paying but have no physical item at all.

So did you or did you not top up the balance?

hi guys, just started leather making and really had a hard time getting material for it...eps leathers. Where can I get 1-2mm thickness leather, colored ones? Beside ordering online, isn't there a place in Singapore for us to get?

Thanks you...:)

I got a saddleback leather messenger bag, but seriously underestimated how heavy it would be.

But its a minor issue and looks great. Solidly built too.

the major complain has been always weight, a messenger bag can easily weight 1kg!
start filling it, it helps to tone those arms!

any pic to share?

The messenger bag I got weighs at least 2.5kg i reckon.
I don't notice the weight anymore, but any friend who picks up my bag complains immediately (especially with my laptop inside).

Some pics (apologies for the lack of scale though, these are what I have on hand).

1. not easy to learn
2. pricey
3. equipment hard to get
4. supplies limited and most of them are shipped from overseas.

coming from someone who had the same idea of learning too.
