Just received an online enquiry for one of my wallets. The person actually said he liked the wallets but wanted to know why is it so pricey compared to the branded wallets.
I suppose he is expecting me to sell these wallets for $30-$40 since I make them at home. Like these are new year cookies I am baking at home?
Receiving these kind of comments really takes the colour out of the craft.

250-300 i'll hit a cordovan with saddle stitch anytime man
Trust me, even as a craftmens for OGL, the feeling of having this new wallet is the same as everyone else, all excited!
apply some leather oil, it will give a tone darker.
Haha..
Anyway, talking about cordovan, not really sure why suddenly there is this craze about cordovan.
Shell cordovan, I can understand.
But normal cordovan, is no more premium than normal veg tan cowhide. In fact, the english veg tan cowhide I have is 2.3 times more expensive than cordovan.
One retailer even caution buyers than cordovan can be so brittle sometimes that you can literally tear it with your bare hands with some exertion.
