dude u dun need to rush for ur weapons if ur thinking of buying them for the war. right now the war isn't even confirmed yet. i only posted an interest check and since response here is lukewarm the war most probably won't be held unless i get more confirmation replies at least 3 days before the actual game day.

and btw, it's mortpenguin, not morten.

ok so am i in? and how many weapons do you need like a primary and a secondary or more? and have you recce bishan park yet it is quite big so it might be hard to recognise each other and i will buy from sadistephen a firefly which can use any darts (as i seen on youtube) will be provided? or must make ownself? or even buy it

Don't mean to burst your bubble... but those plastic pellets come from a cheap toy spring gun that is easily found in toy shops for $3.90, so i don't see how anyone is going to pay you $10 bucks for pellets that can be bought for $3.90?

Here is a photo of that toy spring gun from another recent HWZ thread:

http://forums.hardwarezone.com.sg/showpost.php?p=34136374&postcount=580

Btw, its not an airsoft gun, its just a cheap toy spring gun, i had one a while back, shoots just 1-2 meters only. So useless i threw it away the next day.

Nerf Longshot CS-6 in Singapore!

Ok, back to what this thread is all about... Nerf Blasters!

For those of you who have taken note of my information a few weeks ago about the arrival of the Nerf Longshot CS-6, well... i hope you guys haven't spent all of your christmas money yet, 'cos its here!

Nerf Longshot CS-6 @ Takashimaya

longshotinsg.jpg

The retail price is S$79.90, and Takashimaya's christmas promotion comes with a free Nerf Target Board (while stocks last).

I've checked with Metro Paragon and they also have the Longshots too, so i believe its the same with all the other Metro stores.

If any of you know the stock status and price at other big department stores (ie. Isetan, OG or Toys R Us), please do post it here.

Happy shopping! :D

Before all of you rush out to buy your Longshots, those of you familiar with nerf blaster pricings would probably notice that the S$79.90 retail pricing is abit on the high side for local retail Longshots (but that's expected for any new product arrival anyways).

Just a hint, savvy shoppers amongst us should be very familiar with what happens to retail prices after christmas! :D

Well, so far from my experience with Hasbro, once a nerf blaster is sold out, you'll have to wait a very, very long time for the next shipment. =:p

So it all depends on your risk appetite. :D

Thats right, its definitely still way cheaper than ordering from the states.

Some of my colleagues have already popped by Takashimaya this evening and bought boxes of Longshots for their kid's (and their own!) christmas presents.

So if you need it now, then by all means... do get the Longshots! :)

It'll be best if you can get all 3 for your collection. :D

But if you can only choose one, then here are my quick reviews of each model:

Longshot CS-6
- Bolt action, spring powered, magazine fed (comes with 2 x 6 dart magazines)
- Double barrel configuration with detachable pump-action pistol section
- Rate of fire: Single shot
- Sniper rifle design, more than 3 feet in length, looks very impressive on display!

Firefly REV-8
- Pull back mechanism, spring powered, 8 dart auto advancing barrel.
- Barrel flash to "charge" special nerf glow darts
- Rate of fire: Single shot
- Can carry 2 more darts than a Maverick and the barrel flash creates interesting effects during night skirmish games.

Iron Man NRF 425 Blaster
- Compressed air powered mechanism, filled via in-built pump system (comes with 1 x 10 dart clip)
- Choice of Semi or Full Auto firing modes
- Rate of fire: Automatic, 10 rounds within 2 seconds
- Great for dart tag and skirmish games, but do note that the Iron Man version only comes with 1 clip.

All these 3 models have around same firing range of approx. 30 ft.

So it all depends on your usage: for display, for night skirmish or for general dart tag/skirmish games.
