i've found a great mod on nerf haven for the hyper dart tag gun,it makes it superbly awesome,
planning to use the mod for my lonshot/dtg intergration =)

wats the current update for the fbr's. my current stock of streamline darts (ones that came with purchase of longshot) are getting real low. the prob of my messed up streamlne darts is usually when other ppl are trying it out and playing with it. like wat sadistephen has mentioned before.

maybe you guys could wrap your darts in scotch tape,
the darts for the firefly dont seem to tear,
if u didnt noe the firfly darts are normally wrapped in some glow in the dark tape...

so maybe you can giv that a try....
i'll get back to you guys to seee if it works...

ok...i just tried out placing 1 layer of electrical tape near the tip of a streamline....
i onli put it at the front cause my darts always seem to tear at the front....

maybe its me but somehow the electrical tip actually flew like a few cm more than a stock dart....
(maybe the weight makes it shoot further)
but i dont think so cause i do have a stefan from ebay..
the stefan is loaded with bb's i think but falls way faster than a stock bullet....

i think for we moderate nerfers....we should stick to stock or light darts cause heavier darts onli work for powerful guns.....

ah ok thx for that, was looking for it, but somehow missed it out, yep the recon and longshot's firing mechnisms are pretty much similar, only that recon's more compact. well time to mod my longshot!

you mean as in range wise?
if thats what your talking about then it happened for my fren's vulcan too!try loading it more often with sonics cos micros get crappy distance
my frens goes like 10-30 feet with micros and 50-55 feet with sonics

Thats quite unfortunate, but on the flip side, take it as a good opportunity for you to take apart that Vulcan now. The Nerf Vulcan is much more complex than all the other nerf models due to its additional use of electronics, timing gears and motors.

The best guide i've seen so far is from "Splitlip" over at the nerfhaven forums, his vulcan internal schematics are great, all colour-coded and very clear:

Hope you can successfully troubleshoot the problem and get your Vulcan back into full working condition!

Btw, since you'll be opening up the Vulcan, perhaps you can also look at the possibilities of upgrading the motor, circuits and perhaps increase the battery voltage too.
