I have this problem. I dont root my phones. How do I transfer files from computer to my phone N4. There is no mass storage option. Sorry if its a noob question. I am a noob after all. Connection options are via MTP or PTP. MTP, my pc doesnt detect my phone. PTP, can only transfer photos from phone to pc. Im using windows XP. Tnx!

you don't have to root your phone to transfer stuff.
your n4 should basically act as a thumbdrive of sorts.

MTP should be the way to go.
have you installed your N4's drivers onto your pc?
maybe try downloading from the official sites the drivers.

On a Windows 7, MTP is automatically supported, no need for any additional drivers.. I would have imagined that at least with the XP Service pack 3, MTP would be available too.. but turns out it was available from Win 7 .... Anyway here you go, install the MTP drivers from Microsoft..

Long pressing the power button for like 10 seconds or so should restart the device.. Although on my nexus 4, it is shutting down the phone completely.. maybe that is by design or a bug, I am not sure..

Maybe they're going to mass cancel all those pending orders to those same few reshipping addresses.

Yeah Man, this time there was a big rumor of multiple nexus phones, I was so looking forward to Moto Nexus! maybe next time.. although must say, this years nexus is much better than last year's!

Usually brands will sponsor us on overseas trip though. I only in HWZ for like 1 year and 8 months, haven't encountered a scenario where the company sponsored any of us to go for overseas assignment.

yeah, I was hoping for some nexus phone that has the build quality of HTC & the battery life of Razr Maxx. That's like the ultimate phone to have!

still considering whether to ditch my Nexus 4 and go back to my One X. =X battery life to me is one of the top most concerns, although the One X is not any better (but definitely ahead of Nexus 4).

Hi Igene,

I did a thorough check on the apps I downloaded, and realized some apps having background sync enabled (like every hour, every 6 hrs etc).

Will monitor the battery mileage over the next few days to see if there is any improvement.

Brightness level is always zero, wifi turned off, location turn off. it just drains very quickly.

Most of the time I had to use a second phone to do fb, twitter, take pic instead of the N4 for fear it will run out of juice when I am outside. =X

Anyhow, I believe some users may not face same problem as me.
