Hi, I know white is SMS, green i think is facebook.
Not sure about the others

Exactly, don't understand why they have this nice feature but hv to make you guess what each color means ?!

I just found out Nexus 4 has an LED notification light lol.

Go to settings, Display and enable "Pulse notification light".

You can use Light Flow Lite on Google Play to set the colour for each event.

Yeah it's turn on by default. I'm trying to see if I can don't install any 3rd party apps and still understand the Notification colour

Because some apps have the option to choose color, but most don't.

Don't bother, without 3rd party app or custom roms, it's a waste of time trying to guess/assign colors to apps. :D

My notification light was off by default... either that or I accidentally offed it and didn't notice it! Anyway try out Light Flow - it's free and you can customise which app notification makes it glow in what colour; real cool.

Some questions

Hi guys, some warranty questions for soon-to-be owner (got my friend to buy it for me). I know that LG states that there won't be warranty for sets bought from Google Store, but

- How do you guys do the warranty then? Just email Google if got problems? Any issues if I'm not the one who bought the phone?
- If I'm willing to pay extra, will LG still service the phone locally?

Also, any recommended screen protectors? I'm looking at the SGP ones, but it seems SG doesn't sell, must ship....

You could email them and ask for RMA, but u better not let them know u are not from SG.

No one can tell u for sure, no one has attempted local SVC yet. Maybe you will be the first to try.

It's a little hard to see all the cracked lines because pic was taken at night and the N4 screen is really dark.

Phone was dropped from Sofa arm rest level face down on to floor.
The greatest damage was to the right side although the cracks extended all the way down to the left as well.

I told my brother to use this as a paper weight.:D

To those having data connectivity issues, consider using franco's kernel. the releases from r29 onwards seems good. i think the data problems are cause by the phones pretty damn aggressive fast dormancy policy.

moi realised on cm10.1 that the phone always drops the HSPA+ connection once its done loading a page. and then it tries to reestablish a HSPA+ connection again when u try to load smth. thats where it gets stuck.

Never rooT phone, can use Franco kernel?

No root, no talk.

Anyway franco reverted all changes back to stock kernel-ish because many users had trouble with data connections dropping. So don't use franco if you were hoping it helps with data.

I called LG up and while they are unable to confirm warranty, the CSO said they should be able to do servicing when parts arrive.

I just bought the Nilkin one at PS. Front feel is matte, but cover very small area. Back is clear, don't feel that good.
