I should put it in this way, that Google didn't take the money yet, just submit an authorization (hold) for the charge. This is to ensure that you are able to pay 100% for the replacement in the event that you didn't return the original.

Once they have received the original unit from you within the allocated time, your bank will release the amount back to you.

It will depend on the shipping service or courier you are using. To ship back to US and back to SG, you will require a temporary re-import permit. Courier service handling international delivery should know the process and able to assist you on this.

You will have to provide relevant documents such as the actual invoice as well as the RMA form, so that the company handling this for you, could produce these documents to the custom. The documents are actually to proof that this is the actually the same unit that has been sent for repair/replacement, and not liable for GST.
oh thanks bro.. i saw the website, I need to call them (plan to use skype). so far u got encounter any difficulties?

and able to confirm if its 1) or 2)?

1) they temp hold $ for replacement set.

Then i set my set in, for repair. if cannot be repaired, set me a new set.

or

2) they temp hold $ and set me a replacement set upon RMA form put up.

Then i set my set in, they receive and release $.

my power button started to sink in and at times cannot get the input.

Just wondering, are we gonna get charge GST again when the shipping comes back? why is there a need to charge you full amount? Is it because they will send you another new set?
Instead of returning the device back to Google (very complex n tedious process) for warranty, why dont you go to LG Spore and ask for a repair (non-warranty) quote. They said they will provide repair service.

Anyone here with 8GB can comment on space availability? Budget not enough, only can afford 8GB, but afraid of not enough space, might as well get Galaxy Nexus 16GB. I know after OS & etc, left with ~6GB. I have 1GB of songs. Is 5GB enough for apps and photos?

I'm someone who uses not a lot of space on my phone.

Some music, photos and videos taken by the camera.
and I'm using the 16gb unit. Ito nly has about 5-6 gigs left.

So yeah... 8gig is enough only if you always backup your stuff and delete them off your phone.

else 16gb is better.

If you are the original purchaser and bought thru PlayStore, and looking for warranty service from Google, then you may be able to get a RMA from Goggle. They go thru a complex process of crediting your CC for the original purchase and debiting your CC, etc. Too complex for me! And then you have to pay for the two way freight costs. It costs me almost $70 just to send my Nexus (in original packaging with the stock ancillaries) back to US.

hi, saw your thread i suppose you have done a warranty with US google play? i have a red light of dead N4 and LG singapore service center suggest a motherboard failure:s22:

do you mind share how the warranty process goes?
