Just a quick FYI, be careful of apps that require root access, make sure you trust the devs before pressing the allow root access button. If it's an evil dev, your phone can potentially be bricked.
i kinda disagree on this....the prospect of a hard brick from a root apps is quite slim (unless the app somehow overclock your cpu and it overheated, etc)....

the fact is, even if the app 'repartition' your storage mount, all these are still considered a 'soft brick' (software level brick).....and as long as it's not a hard brick, all can be restore with a custom recovery and unlock bootloader via fastboot command.

so why not go experiment on it and understand the 'true definition' of root?

To simplify things: root is like giving an application administrator privileges on windows, if you give it to a malicious app, it can seriously ruin your day..

malicious app don't even need root to "destroy" your phone if u really got hit by one lol... other than getting "sexpose" of photos in your phone, why worry pple hack/infect your phone?

Anti-Virus is the scam itself, so is cyber security. nothing in this worlds ticks without "profit" involved.

They probably can, root just makes it easier.

Just replaced my Nexus 4's power button. Works fine now. No longer need to send for service :D

Not really hard to fix it. Just taking out the back cover takes some time.
Briefly sum up the steps...
1. Take out the back cover
2. Unscrew the black plastic covering the circuit board
3. Pull out old power button and replace with new
4. Screw back the black plastic cover
5. Put back the back cover.
6. Play with your new power button :D

Link for those who want to repair on their own too.

Is that easy to fix? Mine button nid quite a few click to lock/unlock. Very troublesome

Anybody got any idea which radio to flash for best signal with SingTel 3G Prepaid? I'm getting only 2-3 bars for the whole day (can see that for the Mobile Network Signal it's yellow until I get home). Sengkang/Punggol area :( battery life affected.

The photo show that you are using wifi, and radio baseband has nothing to with wifi, it is rom-based.
And I think is common to get 3 bar.

No no no, black parts are wifi off. I use 3G when not at home, and the parts where the signal is grey, wifi is off.

I just flashed all 4 radios, .27 gives me best signal with -77dbm, shall see if battery life improves tomorrow :)

Common but data speeds really suck compared to when I'm on 3G in an area with good signal. Sometimes just give up attempting to browse the web.

Anyway I think prepaid 3G is capped at a max DL speed of 2Mbps, never get above 2Mbps..
